Quick Tip: Purchasing a Logo 101

by Takeebie Jefferson on February 16, 2018

Are you looking to purchase a logo and don't know what files should be included? Well, it depends on the different ways you would like to use your logo. Files you should request from your logo/graphic designer are below as well as the ways that you can use them.

-PNG (Clear back ground graphic that can be used online and to make product mockups, digital graphics and more)
-EPS or AI (Illustrator/Vector) file (for getting shirts printed and other marketing materials)
-PDF and JPEG (if you like)

If you ever plan on getting shirts, totes, tablecloths, and other marketing apparel made, a PNG or even PSD (Photoshop file) will not be sufficient enough to get a clean and clear print or cut.

When I design logos for customers I provide all file formats listed above. I also like to give the person a watermark option. An almost transparent image that they can use on top of images to protect their work.
